Tinting Service Questions
Yes, window tinting is legal in Saudi Arabia, but it’s regulated by strict rules set by the General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor). Here’s a breakdown:
What’s Allowed:
- Transparency Level: The tint must be non-reflective and should not mirror or reflect images like chrome or mirrored tints.
- Tint Percentage: A maximum of 30% tint is typically allowed, depending on the vehicle type.
- Tinted Windows: You may tint the rear side windows and rear windshield (if the vehicle has side mirrors).
- Approved Material: The tint must be made of approved materials that do not block visibility from the inside out.
What’s Not Allowed:
- Front windshield or front side windows: Tinting these is strictly prohibited.
- Reflective or mirror tints: Anything that reflects light is not permitted.
- Decorative films: No stickers, logos, patterns, or colors that reduce visibility.
- Very dark tints: Tints that completely block view into the vehicle are not allowed.
Note: While we can apply non-standard tints upon request, please be aware that doing so is at your own risk and may not comply with Saudi traffic regulations.
